Garage parking is located below the building at 601 Broadway; entrance is on Cherry Street.
Please read through the Swedish Orthopedic Institute Patient Handbook prior to surgery.
Please do not consume any food 8 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time.
Please do not drink any liquids 3 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time.
Please make arrangements for a responsible adult to take you home after your surgery; you will not be allowed to leave alone or drive yourself home.
THINGS TO BRING TO SURGERY
Form of payment if you have been notified of a co-pay, deductible, etc.
Copy of Advanced Directive (if applicable).
List of current medications and allergies.
Case for glasses, contacts, dentures as needed.
Crutches, sling, brace, boot, ice machine, etc.
Inhaler if you have asthma.
CPAP machine and mask if you have sleep apnea.
Insulin if you have diabetes.
A magazine, book, iPad, etc to help you stay relaxed. We make every attempt to stay on schedule, but sometimes delays are unavoidable.
Before proceeding with surgery, please verify HERE that your insurance is accepted at Swedish Medical Center, as the hospital has different contractual agreements with your insurance company than OPA (Orthopedic Physician Associates).
